Winter attractions in Switzerland

In winter, the snow in the Swiss Alps is perfect for skiers and snowboarders. But there are many more things to do. Non-skiers will have a great winter vacation too.

Examples of snow activities are sledding, snowtubing, ice skating and toboganning. There are groomed winter hiking trails and special snowshoe trails.

Many famous Swiss mountains can be visited by cable car during the snow season and offer beautiful views of the snow-capped Alps. Winter train rides are scenic too.
