Bettmerhorn - How to get there

How to travel to the Bettmerhorn

The Bettmerhorn can be reached by cable car from Betten. Betten can be reached by train or by car.

The trip in detail

You first need to travel to the train station of Betten. There is a parking lot too. There are two cable cars to the car free village of Bettmeralp up on the mountain: one direct cable car (which is the one you'd normally use), and one to 'Betten Dorf' (the village of Betten, halfway up the mountain). From Betten Dorf, there's another cable car that ends in Bettmeralp as well.

After arrival in Bettmeralp you need to turn right into the main street and follow the signs to the gondola station. It takes about 10 minutes on foot to get there. Then you can board the gondola for the final leg to the Bettmerhorn top station.

Dates of operation

The cable car to Bettmerhorn usually operates from mid-December to mid-April, and from early June to mid-October.

TIMETABLE
