How to prevent catching or spreading the coronavirus

Apart from getting vaccinated and/or tested regularly, this is what you can do to prevent catching the virus or infecting someone else:

  • Follow the advice provided by your government or local authorities.
  • Carefully wash your hands with soap, and do so often, at least before eating and after a toilet visit. Use an alcohol based hand sanitizer if you can't wash your hands. Dry your hands carefully with clean (paper) towels or a warm air dryer.
  • Don't touch your face if your hands are not clean.
  • Sneeze or cough in your elbow, not in your hand.
  • Avoid shaking hands and other physical contact. Maintain 1.5 meter distance if you can.
  • Avoid farm animals.
  • Stay indoors and away from others if you have COVID symptoms. Consult official medical sources. Only visit a hospital if you are instructed to do so.

Apply the above recommendations both at home and while traveling.
