Well it was 1 year ago today we started our Swiss adventure. After missing our flight on the 23rd, we were able to find a flight for the 24th and arrive in Zurich on the morning of the 25th. Packed a lot of activities into one day and then headed out to Wengen and Zermatt for the week. And what a week it was! Hiking, hiking and more hiking. Eiger, Lauterbrunnen, Gornergrat, Matterhorn, Grindelwald and the list goes on and on.
So much fun and MySwissalps was a big part of helping make that fun become a reality. Thanks!
You've got some amazing views there! Thank you so much for sharing.
Can I ask where you stayed in photo 1 (balcony) please pkerr. TIA.
You sure can! It was the Hotel Maya Caprice in Wengen. It is just past (towards the Jungfrau) the train station.
We had a great balcony view and even though it's by the train tracks, we NEVER heard the train once. Of course the train doesn't run at night and we were gone in the day so that may of had something to do with it. The rooms were redone early last year and they are nice. If you'd like, I can post some pictures of our room interior.
Thank you for your propmt reply a photo or two of the inside of the room would be great (but don't forget the website might be down for a couple of days as it is being updated soon).
You'll find some photos of the hotel here: https://www.hotelscombined.com/Hotel/Hotel_Maya_Caprice.htm
I know, it is not the same as a private (I mean a photo from a tourist and not from the hotel management), but it maybe helps you a bit. :)
