About the trail

This demanding, but wonderful hike starts off with a steep 400 m (1,300 ft) climb through the forest. In the hamlet of Zen Achru, you will be rewarded with a lovely view of the city of Brig and the Rhône valley. Then you will descend through a crevice, coming face to face with a waterfall at the lowest point. After having passed the village of Termen, you will walk through meadows with chalets to the old town of Brig. In Brig you may want to spend some time having a bite to eat, shopping, or visiting the Stockalper palace, which you will pass just before the end of the route.
